GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Scope of application

These conditions apply to the sale of vouchers and pamper packages on the Internet via www.carolus-thermen.de

2. Buying vouchers

You may buy vouchers online at www.carolus-thermen.de. You may have the vouchers sent by email or mail to yourself or to a third party. Pamper packages will be sent exclusively by post.

3. Conclusion of contract

The contract is formed with completion of the booking dialogue on www.carolus-thermen.de. After you have placed your order, you will receive an email confirming your order details.

4. Dispatch

Online vouchers for printing will be sent by email as a PDF attachment to the email address indicated in the order.

All other vouchers and pamper packages will be sent by post. For this service, we charge a standard postage fee in the amount of EUR 4.00 for destinations within Germany, and EUR 6.00 for destinations abroad.

5. Methods of payment

Four payment methods are offered for the purchase of multi-purpose vouchers and pamper packages: Giropay for online banking customers within Germany, Paypal/Paypal Plus, credit card payment (Mastercard, Visa and Amex) and prepayment.

If you pay in advance, you will receive the item after the equivalent value has been credited to our account. This may take several days.

6. Redemption of vouchers

The voucher data are encrypted in a barcode. Upon redemption of the voucher at the reception of Carolus Thermen Aachen, the barcode will be read into the cash system. The barcode will be decrypted, and the voucher data will be displayed.

A voucher may be also redeemed in partial amounts during several visits, or by several persons while visiting at the same time.

Resale of vouchers is not permissible.

In the event of abuse, we reserve the right to issue a ban on entering the premises and to make a complaint about the abuse to the police.

7. Payment of pamper packages

When you purchase a pamper package, you will receive a voucher booklet that contains a voucher for each individual service. When the service is used, the individual vouchers will be detached and retained by the respective division of the Carolus Thermen Bad (reception, dining, Carolus spa, Carolus shop).

The individual vouchers can also be redeemed over the course of several visits.

The resale of pamper packages is not permitted. In the case of misuse, we reserve the right to issue a ban from the premises and report the offence to the criminal authorities.

8. Time limit on vouchers

Vouchers will expire 3 years after the 31st of December of the year they were bought.

10. Data privacy / data security

Your personal order data are collected, processed and used in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act. When placing an order at www.carolus-thermen.de, all data are protected by a secure online connection between the ordering party's computer and the connected computer.

11. Miscellaneous

Owing to the technical features of the Internet, the availability of the booking modules under www.carolus-thermen.de cannot be guaranteed at all times.

In the event that individual clauses should be or become ineffective, this shall not affect the effectiveness of the remaining clauses.

The European Commission provides a platform for the out-of-court resolution of online dispute (OS platform), which is available at www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address can be found in our Imprint. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in the procedures for settling the dispute.

German law shall apply exclusively. Place of performance and place of jurisdiction for all claims is Aachen.
